As a rising voice, Vernon Byrd releases a sound of worship that transcends denominational and generational barriers. Building upon the foundation of his upbringing in the Baptist Church, Vernon has the innate ability to mesh today's contemporary expression of worship with the richness of yesterday's sound.

A native of New Orleans, Vernon serves as the Worship Pastor at Mt Zion Baptist Church of Nashville, TN. He also serves as the General Overseer of Praise and Worship for the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International. Vernon has been featured on national award-nominated recordings and has been blessed to share the stage with many internationally acclaimed artists.

Beyond the platform, Vernon carries a deep passion for teaching and developing worshipers. Through workshops, intensives, and one-on-one instruction, he equips the next generation of worship leaders with both the spiritual depth and practical tools needed to lead with excellence and authenticity.

Vernon also serves as a ministry consultant, partnering with churches and organizations to build sustainable, Spirit-led worship cultures — from team development and creative direction to worship philosophy and Sunday experience design. In spite of all he has achieved, Vernon's love for and devotion to God is and will always be the apex of his life and ministry.
